Personally, I think the person is a scam artist. She states her ex destroyed everything in August leaving her with absolutely nothing yet is asking for an upgraded computer (leaving us to believe she has one), playstation 2 games and dvd's (once again leading us to believe she has a playstation 2), and misc. necessities. It's been all of three months since this was supposed to have occured and she was able to obtain these items but not the basic necessities.
What is your take on it? Do you think it's a scam or do you think she is for real?

Just to let everyone know, I was so frustrated over the possibility of this being a scam I contacted the local police in her area to check it out.

Sounds like a scam. Someone in need would not be worried about computers and PS stuff. They would be more concerned with food and clothing. Once those needs were met, then maybe...but it sounds like a scam to me.

guess it would be my uncertain brain thoughts. but I seem to smell a scam..
With having nothing, why would a computer be my first priority for help.
I would be asking for a home to live in, food clothing and the real necessity to live.
but then as I said that is my messed up mind thinking that way.
I guess my question would be why isnt she making an attmempt to get help making theex pay for what he did?
I amnot be smart or insulting or anything else, but what you have written sure looks like a scam. maybe others have better thoughts on this.

I dont think its a scam. I think this woman is in the same position many women are when leaving an abusive relationship. Maybe someone gave her kids the playstation and/or the computer. I also think theres a long distance between having just what is necessary and having all the children need.

Sounds like a scam because she is not too worried about the important stuff. You can't eat, wear, or live in dvd's and PS games.

Yes, it is probably a scam. But many people will fall for it, the sad thing is there are many people who really need help and can't put food on the table and are really trying to provide for their family. and they would be happy as long as they had food on the table, and could careless if they had extras as long as they had what they needed.

Sounds like a scam for me. If you want to help people in trouble, find a homeless charity and give them your money.

you can put anything you want on a web-sight, its just amazing how many people believe stuff they read from someone they don't even know. (that's why they keep doing it)
