The first answer is correct. Try a good Fuel Injector Cleaner first. It be a lot cheaper than a new injector. Do not skimp on this, buy, a good cleaner. The Seafoam be good, also, I have used Lucus Fuel Injector cleaner with good results. I think that the name.

Has your repair shop said they have to replace the injector? Most good repair shops will have an injector cleaner that they can pump right in to the injectors. It's a heavy solvent that dissolves deposits, debris, gelled fuels, and anything else that gets past the filters. This process takes around 3 hours to complete and can run around 200 to 300 for Labor and the solvent. Its injector safe and can restore the injectors to like new. Now if the injector needs to be replaced plan on about 4 hours or repair time. They pretty much need to take the whole upper half of the motor apart (assuming it's a V6) to get to the injectors and replace the one that is bad. Depending on how many miles you have on the car I would spend the extra money and have them replace all the injectors. This will offer better balance of fuel in the system and you likely hood of having another injector fail later on is unlikely. So get some good quotes and see what works out best for your budget. As far as getting the station to pay. Find out if other people who have purchased gas there have had similar problems and put together information about the station. Once you have the information and feel you have the proof then go to the station manager / owner and see what he is willing to do. If nothing then see legal advice.

Seems an injector can cost as little as $78.00 to $178.00, depending where you purchase it ,Autozone or Carquest. Seems a little steep, I personally would verify this is the problem, before buying a new injector. Sometimes you can repair clogging fuel injectors just by adding the proper chemical; i.e., Seafoam Injector cleaner or such. Good luck.

A replacement fuel injector is about $78 - $91 each + shipping. Follow the link below.
You need to install it yourself or find someone to install it for you.
First, try speaking to the manager of the gas station about the problem. He may be reasonable. If you can not get satisfaction, you could try the Small Claims Court, but proving fuel you bought from his gas station did the damage may be difficult.
You also may get help by contacting the Better Business Bureau.

As far as getting the gas station to assist-- good luck! They will want you to try to prove you got your gas from there and it was their gas that caused the problem. Fuel injectors cost between $49 to $129 (roughly) apiece. Then you have to add in labor if someone else is doing the work.

i own a repair shop, and i wish it was possible to get a station to pay for damages, but you cant never win one of these battles, but the injector you have that's clogged may have to be replaced on it,once they have been pressure cleaned they never run right after that so id just replace it,and as for the cost of it,probably around a 100 bucks labor and pars included on this repair but i wish there was a way you could hold them responsible for it,but they can always get out of it,,is just repair it and go on,,that's the best way to handle it,,good luck,i hope this help,s.

It could be a fuel pressure problem, but it could also be a restricted exhaust. A good mechanic can check that possibility quickly with just a vacuum gauge>
