Yes. Early pregnancy bleeding is called "implantation bleeding" and it happens when the embryo is in the process of "attaching". Also, many people still have a first "period" after becoming pregnant. It is best to take a pregnancy test with your first morning urine. If you are, in fact, pregnant, go see your doctor asap because although some light bleeding is normal in pregnancies, it can also be a sign that something is wrong. It doesn't mean you will miscarry. In my case, I was put on progesterone to stop the bleeding, and I delivered a healthy baby boy.

Yes, if you think you might be pregnant take a home test. They are pretty inexpensive and very accurate.
