Okay, since everyone else is giving lots of answers, I'll go ahead and extend mine too.

Another song I love is Bitter Sweet Symphony by the Verve.

I don't have a lot of songs to recommend, but some bands that you don't hear on the radio much that I think are awesome include: Relient K, Ben Folds, Jack Johnson, Angels and Airwaves, and Coldplay.
