My freezer is too cold, and my fridge is too warm. We have the temp in the freezer turned all the way down, and the temp in the fridge all the way up, and its still too warm and cold. Does anybody know what the problem could be?

There are a few things it could be, but the thing wrong with mine when it did like yours had me baffled.

Finally, a guy who works on them said it might be the fan under the freezer. Fan under the freezer? Yep. Probably went out. You can tell because you can hear it running. If it isn't running, it probably needs replaced. Sure nuff. I found this to be right. I bought the part installed it, and the fridge is doing fine.

Don't know if this is the same problem exactly for you but check out this site. Might give you some answers.

First turn the controls back a normal... never turn the dial all the way up, it doesn't help just makes the unit work harder. Sounds like you may have too much stuff in the freezer or the gasket of the fridge has gone bad, check it all around.. look for rips, tears, or uneven parts, if not meeting the frame of the unit, use a hair dryer to heat the rubber and close the door and hold to frame to help mold it back to the unit... if ripped replace the gasket.

If not a faulty gasket, could be the evaporator motor, the motor in the freezer not pushing air to the refrigerator. If this motor is not runnign check connections to it, and if that doesn't make it run, replace the motor. Sounds like that is your problem... if you aren't handy yourself, call a repairman.

It could be the seal around the door. If the seal is perished or has something obstructing it, warm air will seep into the fridge and warm it up. This will make the fridge run more of the time, wasting electricity to keep it cool.

Typically, if the seal is faulty, the fridge will ice-up rapidy with small crystals of moisture from the air.

If this isn't the case then read on... hopefully someone else has the answer...

try unplugging it for a few hours to defrost and let it sit until clear..while waiting, check the tube that goes to the back of fridge and down to the evaporator tray underneath..this gets plugged with lint, spiders too and it wiil keep the moisture inside fridge instead of evaporating it. this can be cleaned by pouring warm water through it either by blowing with a small hose or a spray bottle filled with warm water. If this is not the problem or your door seals I think you need a new one to keep your things in.
