Length = 2x+3
2(2x+3) + 2(x) = 72
4x+6+2x = 72
6x = 66
x = 11 and 2x+3 = 25
So, the width is 11 and the length is 25.
140 + commission = 340
commission = 200
200 / .2 = 1000
She earned commission on $1000 but she doesn't start earning until she sell in excess of $300. Therefore, her total sales must be $1,300.
