I'm a manager at my job and work with 3 other managers, 2 of which were not qualified for the job. They have not been pulling their weight. I left them each a note on their desk letting them know that they didn't to prep their ad the other night, which made my job much harder the next morning and to inform them that we all need to keep up on it. I left them a note because it is an ONGOING problem since they all stepped into the position. Of course, they were all angry that I did so (one of the co-workers is one of those types of women that think they're the queen of everything). Next, I got into a huge fight with a supervisor (won't go into details, but she really really got under my skin) over the issue.

Anyone have any similar experiences?

Be careful if you want to stay in your job, as it sounds like you are clashing with quite a number of people at the moment. If you are not careful, your upper management will notice, and start to think that you are difficult to work with, or not a team player.
Next time, address it directly, face to face with the other employee. If they repeat, then its time to escalate the issue. Speak with their manager about their non-performance. Its something I have to do occasionally, and its never fun to go over someone's head, but sometimes, it just has to be done.

You said you work with 3 other managers. If you are not their supervisor you should have gone to the supervisor over all of you and told her the problem and let her handle it. You spoke out of turn by leaving those notes as it isn't your place to supervise these co workers. If it is an on going problem your supervisor needs to correct this problem not you. I'm not saying that you should do their work for them but you shouldn't be leaving notes telling them what to do. You may have ruined your department by doing this and may have a hard time working with these people.

Sounds like the kind of place I retired from. The way you handled things, I don't believe YOU should have done anything. In my opinion, you should have taken this info to your supervisior. Handling problems like this is what she gets paid for. Then I would have proceeded to do "my own" work. If everything doesn't get done, then all you have to say is "I came to you with this problem of the others". That puts the ball in her court and takes the pressure off you. Things might not happen right away, but when things stop getting done, someone high up will notice. Just make sure that you are busy at all times so they will know that you are doing your work. If you do their work, they will continue to let you do it.

No, very rarely did I ever question my boss's ability's such as you have.
Neither have I ever felt I was the boss's of all boss's without being placed in that position. Curious as who are you in this company to be able to say who is and who is not qualified for your job?
Sounds like you might be jealous of one of the girls who is "the queen". You are the one who is fighting with the supervisor (which you are not you are just a manager), you did not mention any one else is fighting with the supervisor.....
Be careful sounds like you might be the first one to "hit the road".
Keep in mind a manager is only one step above a flunky, with this in mind a manager is also the one who sets the pace for what kind of work environment your shift is going to have....
Come back to earth and get your head out of the clouds, you embarrassed yourself at work...

leaving notes instead of f2f is a problem in this situation.
you should talk to people directly when you have a problem
with their behavior. instead of being accusing try this step-wise
idea:

when you _______ i feel ______ because _______.

fill in the blanks.
when you don't prep you ad, i feel angry because i have to work overtime to get the account done on time.

1st blank: identify the behavior in NONJUDGMENTAL terms
2nd blank: use a non-accusing feeling that happens inside you when they have that behavior.
3rd blank: state the impact on you of their behavior, how it affected you and your life.

then just listen to them. try to empathetically connect with their response.

check out the discipline of reflective listening
i learned this from systematic training for effective parenting.
don't dismiss this powerful technique until you
give it a genuine try (not just pretending to try it)
also consider studying marshall rosenberg's nonviolent communication.

see this as a chance to develop your skills.
don't view this as problems with other people.
realize that you have choices all the time.
they probably don't care if your job is harder.
in fact that is probably a good thing for them.
why should they care?
listen carefully when they explain how the situation looks from their point of view.
