no, the guy that invented sponge bob lived near me. he then sold the cartoon to nickelodeon after showing them a demo. i can see if it was made by a cartoonist that already worked for nick, but this guy was just a aspiring cartoonist that hit it big.

I remember Rocco's Modern life and it was a great show it make me laugh and not many shows can do that. But Sponge bob is very stupid and annoying show.
