After his little episode will you continue to watch him on tv, read his books, or go see his shows? I actually was a fan of his but now I don't think that I can support a racist.

People are making up all these excuses for him and saying that his apology was sincere. NOT!! One of the funny excuses I heard was "Well maybe he was DRUNK" lmao! well if that was the case always keep in the back of your mind "Drunk mind's think SOBER thoughts" so its no excuse for what he did. His career is a dud now and its all because of poor judgement. He should've been adult about it and just brushed it off his shoulder but he didn't now he's feeling sorry for himself. HA HA HA!!! I don't wish him luck at nothing he does and I will never support him but it don't bother me none because I never did.

I will continue to support Michael Richards. I do agree that he shouldn't have said what he did, however, the men shouldn't have heckled him in the first place. That was also uncalled for. What if it had been a woman that did that to Mr. Richards and he called them a name. Would have it gotten so much publicity? Would the women have caused such an uproar. I don't think so. I was watching a comedy show the other night and the african-american announcer kept calling the next comedian a white boy. They can call white people, honkies, crackers or even white boys. Why is this considered OK?

I have never 'supported' him; and though I cannot condone his behavior -- his inevitable 'trial by media' and the monetary damages being sought by the club attendees at whom his tirade was directed will most likely be much more adequate punishment than is deserved.

Those looking for an easy payday, business establishments seeking sociopolitical distance, and the dull and commonplace 'holier than thou' are a tough act to contend with.

Too often overkill is the norm rather than the exception. The man has enough problems (most assuredly brought on by himself) but I'm going to leave him be to sort these things out and not persecute him any further than he will already be forced to endure.

Racist outbursts are never called for nor can they really be excused -- but exactly when and where does the punishment end, if ever ?

I was not going to buy his book in any case. I would still watch a movie or TV show that he was in. I do not think he is seriously a racist, I think he got angry at being heckled, and said some things he should not have said.

i never supported him in the first place.

he's washed up. i didnt even know he was still doing comedy before that fiasco.

but to be honest, i dont care. he was being insulted, which he SHOULD have been able to handle. as a stand-up comic, you gotta be able to deal with hecklers and ******* in the crowd. he lost his cool, he flipped out, he screamed some inappropriate stuff. then he apologized.

y know, i honestly dont believe he hates black people. i think he was just so mad, he wanted to say the most cutting, brutal remark possible, so that word came to his mind.

either way, he wouldn't be the first comic to say something racist and extreme.

I think he is a great actor and comedian and I will continue to watch him on TV. Alot of other actors and actresses in Hollywood have done stupid things and it didn't hurt their career so if he stays focused and humorous, I think he will make a come back despite of his mistakes.

It's all so pathetic. Who cares if he called a n*ggar a n*ggar!?! I get called a fat ***** now and again too, you don't see me boo-hoo-ing over it. All people are entitled to say whatever they wish rather it's right or wrong. And believe it or not, there are worse things that a person could be besides a "racist" like a mass murderer or a child molester. People need to get over it!!!

He made a mistake, he did'nt kill anybody. Sure it was wrong but he's made me laugh too hard in this lifetime for me not to like him anymore.
