Not quite THAT bad, but I am not good with directions. Asking does me little good, because the answer is always "head North...turn West" and I don't know East from West. So, I cheat and use the computer.

Yes, there are alot of people like that. You can't always trust Mapquest, the times I've used it, it gave us bad directions once and the other time it gave us the hardest route to get to a place, when we could have another mile down the road, hung a left and we were there. Nope instead Mapquest took us thru downtown, yeah, that was nice.

mapquest may be of a little bit but at least they do not out right lie..
several year ago when I was a truck driver I stopped and asked for directions, I told them I was almost late for a delivery, a few people talked then they told me the way to go...approximately 3/4 of an hour went by and I was at the stop sign right out in from of where I asked for directions, and they all were yelling and laughing....they sent me i a large circle....nice people...and I ended up being late off the drop off and it cost me money...
so mapquest all the way...
smile
good luck

You're looking at this the wrong way. With Mapquest...you don't HAVE to ask anyone. Totally different attitude there. Sounds so much nicer, eh?
Don't forget Yahoo maps too. I use that all the time.
Learn on your own and you'll remember. The biggest advantage to using one of these map searchers is that you can print it off and take it with you. Whoever you're going to ask may not be with you at the time, but you've got the paper map right there.
Not determined....smart!

I always use Mapquest. When people give me directions, it only confuses me. "Turn left at the gas station." Which gas station? I need the exact name of the road, please.
If I use Mapquest and still get lost, I won't ask for directions. I'm like a guy. I'll waste 30 minutes trying to figure it out, like it's a game.

If I've never been there and someone knows how to get there I'll ask. But if it's only 4 miles away without to many turns I'll get directions as well. But it it's turn here then turn there alot I'd rather have a map that I can kinda try to keep track of my progress as well as the input from another person.

I prefer to use Yahoo! Maps, but yes that's me to a T. When I moved to Denver, just over a year ago, I didn't know my way around and used online maps a lot. Particularly the driving directions feature. It's so easy, and I'm still in the habit of using them. I have people that I can ask, but the online directions are often easier to follow and don't share the fallibility of the human memory.
