I have not watched this show in years, but this morning I caught a rerun episode and noticed when Tori was there, Kelly wasn't. I was just wondering.

In one episode, I remember Kelly was going to go do modeling somewhere, and I wondered if maybe that was when Tori came onto the show.

In the show's final season, NBC doubled the number of episodes ordered, despite the fact that they would have to re-sign the entire cast to new contracts in order to film them.
Tiffani Thiessen and Elizabeth Berkley refused to sign a new contract for these new episodes, resulting in a block of episodes that feature a new character, Tori Scott (Leanna Creel) in their place.
Thiessen would return for several final episodes under a deal that she made with NBC which included several made-for-TV movies that the actress would star in.
I haven't seen those episodes in a long time, but I don't think they explain why Kelly and Jessie aren't there.

Tori came on when both Kelly and Jesse left the show. I believe Kelly left for modeling, but I don't think they ever really stated that as fact and I have no idea what they did with Jesse's character - it was like they never existed. Tori sucked anyway.

Maybe she was starting to do 90210? I didn't like Tori as well as Kelly.

Tori and Kelly were on the show at the same time, maybe the eposide you caught was just one where Kelly was out, or something. But they were on at the same time. I love that show and watch it all the time .
