i work for a doctor's office, and the reason for that is, is that some patients care requires more time. sometimes what they are here for can turn to a serious case. also in between seeing patients they have to answer messages and make call backs to patients. i think of it this way if you are in with the doctor and you have some serious concerns, do you want to be shrugged off, or have the doctor answer all of your questions. that is what takes so long....
also you should allow at least an hour for every appointment you make, by the time all the paper work is processed and seen that's about right

Almost never -- I am usually waiting at least an hour. It's very frustrating but my doctor is so awesome I put up with it. I think it's a function of having to schedule so many people to make money and allotting only a few minutes to each patient. My Dr. will spend as long as you need with you so he is always behind. A lot of them say, "We had an emergency." Sure I can buy that sometimes but EvERYtiMe?! I don't think so! =p

i have been on time when we get the morning appointments. what throws them off is walkins who have no appointment or wheree a patiant came in at a scedualed time to find out he/she is sicker then what they thought and requires more attention. appointments are normally 15 to 20 minutes if you get in on time.
You can always call ahead to find out if the docter is on time or running behind so that you can give your work or other appointments the notice they deseve. It is not an easy solution when working with health care it seens

They never see you on time cause they are usually overbooked and overpaid. But you get what you pay for I suppose. and they are not obligated to certain standards of customer service as other businesses. good luck and god bless and happy holidays.

ONE time i got seen on time (but i was the first appt of the day). it is messed up. you would think that they would want to be on time, but i guess since none of them ever keep their schedule, they are not afraid of losing patients to other more corteous doctors. they should be obligated to keep appts. or dont have us make appts at all!
