I've had many cysts on my panty line, this is similar but it's on the inside of my outer vaginal lips. It's hard, the size of a pea and only hurts when touched. No white head and when squeezed no puss or discharge, just pain, lol. It's a bit red too but I think that's from me messing with it.

I have insurance and a primary doctor, so that's not the issue. Just broke for the time being, just want to see if it's serious enough to borrow money for my co-pay & prescription or not.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Yes I am sexually active. My partner and I are both STD free and clean.

Oh ouch...Well, stop messing with it first of all. Whatever it is, could be infected and if its not ready to pop and you keep pushing on it, you'll just push the infection to other areas as well. To me, anything out of the normal down there must be taken seriously because you don't know what it actually is. It could be just another cyst, it could be an ingrown hair or it could be a STD. I would borrow the cash and go to the doctor for, at least your own piece of mind. Don't worry it could be nothing. In the meantime, try putting a warm washcloth on the bump a few times throughout the day, if it is a pimple or an ingrown hair, the heat should help it come to a head. Good Luck =)

I think what you are talking about (in my experience anyways) I have had those bumps that hurt when touched from pea size bigger! They hurt really bad but the need to be popped its the only way to get rid of it! It's a skin boil anything that touches it or you tryin to pop it puts you in tears! I had to have my husband pop one once and OMG! I couldnt bare to do it myself. I've had it on the outer and inner vaginal lips (inners hurt a whole lot more)! Be lucky you had it as small as a pea..I've had one the size of a grape! OUCH - Good luck!

--Hidradenitis suppurativa: This is a condition in which there are multiple abscesses that form under the arm pits and often in the groin area. These areas are a result of local inflammation of the sweat glands. This form of skin infection is difficult to treat with antibiotics alone and typically requires a surgical procedure to remove the involved sweat glands in order to stop the skin inflammation.

If you dont think thats what it is I would call a dr!

It could be serious, but it might not be. Really it's only worth getting checked out if you're sexually active. This could be an appearance of genital warts, a transmitable, incurable STD. If you're not having sex with anyone, then you don't need to worry about passing it on, and since there is nothing to be done to cure it going to a Dr will get you nothing but a diagnosis. If you are then a Dr can tell you how to prevent passing them on to your partner.

It depends--are you sexually active? If so, you may want to get it checked out.
If you don't have money, many STD and birth control clinics offer sliding scale or free care.
Many STDs have few symptoms, and can get worse if symptoms are ignored.
Anyone who is sexually active should get checked out every six months.
