Your obviously a Pakistan fan but the truth is that when Australia are on song and playing as a unit, no team in world cricket can hold a candle to them (their record speaks for itself). I'm, of course, talking about proper cricket (ie test) not the hit and giggle form (good for a laugh and filling coffers). No team has been so full of record crushers in the history of cricket (even the "Invincibles" and the "Windies" of the eighties). England caught Oz on a "sticky wicket" (ie injuries - poor form - less than ideal preparation). Note: Pakistan will never be a top performer in test cricket until they learn to play as a unit, as in the Javed days....and until they start producing world class domestic wickets.

England showed that they CAN beat Australia not long ago - which rather puts paid to the idea that only Pakistan are capable of that feat. I am sure that Pakistan are a great team with great players but hopefully England will play well again in these Ashes and prove their worth too

While I quite agree with you that Pakistan is a well balanced and strong team, they are not at all consistent and are not doing justice to their strength. Because of their inconsistency they are not able to reach top of the table in the world cricket.

pakistani team is going through a experimental phase yet they are in the top 5 of both odi and test rankings, that shows you how much potential they have, they dont need akhtar to be successful, whenevr is thier day, they can beat a side like australia but if its not thier day, they can even lose to kenya!problem is that they r not consisitent.

Pakistani cricket is nothing like Brazilian football, its a useless analogy i'm afraid - Australia have dominated test cricket for years, and even they don't have anywhere near the dominance of cricket that the brazilians have of football.

And Angland 'properly' beat the aussies last summer.

You forgot to mention Yousif and Younis , anyway being a pakistani i ,ll agree with you though i know there are still many weakness in their part which are needed to be resolved and most important is lack of consistency plus fielding.

Pakistan are cheats.
They always have been.
Look at their cheating appealing style for example. Talk about intimidating the umpire.
Then these two druggies. If they're innocent why won't they let their B sample be tested? Cos they are bang to rights, that's why.
You may hate Warny, but he coughed and did his punishment.
Just shows you, eh, they cheat and bleat when found out.
They 're rubbish.

I'm not sure about the "if" and "when" the pakistani team play well... the fact of the matter is Australia are consistently much better!
