My baby is 6 months and weights around 28 lbs. He was 10 lbs 8 oz when he was born. He was also 22 inches long. As long as the doctor says he's fine, then don't worry about it. My baby is really active, and he is soo adorable. Chubby babies are cute!

All of my babies were extremely chubby too. Id say 20 pounds by the time they are 3 to 4 months. I loved it! They were so cute. It also runs in my family. The doctors understand this with me. Now my kids are 9, 7 and 3 and are tall and thin. I breast fed all of mine too. Some people just dont understand when they see a chubby baby. I actually had a women come up to me and ask me if my baby had a thyoid problem!! I was like WHAT?..lol. I thought that was ridiculous. I love chubby babies.

Mine is 17 lbs at about 4 1/2 months and she's a chub. She was probably about 15.5 a month ago. I started out 110 lbs and she was 7 lbs 13 oz but I was the same way. I was SUPER chubby and then I got real skinny.

My daugter is 4 1/2 months and about a week ago she was 15lb 12oz and a week before that she was not even 15. She is a breast feed baby to. I was a chunky monkey when I was a baby (and yes I was breastfeed) my mom use to joke about having to get me a bra. And it is getting that way with my Ali. And by the way I am now down to 110 lb and When my baby was born I was 154 and she was 7lb 7oz.
Chunky monkeys are soooo cute.

my niece is 17.5 lbs 8 months and born preemie at 5 lb 10 oz. If your baby isn't having respiratory issues then i wouldn't be so concerned. However it can also lead to other health issues when the child is older. How much did he weigh at birth? this may also have an important impact. Just enjoy him he is a blessing and god would not do anything to your child that you are not capable of handling.

I was 125lbs when I got pregnant, and my daughter weighed in at 9lbs 7oz too!! She was by far the fattest newborn baby I've ever seen. She wasnt very long, she was just FAT! She thinned out a little (breastfed, she was always happy with that) afterwards and has continued that trend up until now (she's 13mths tomorrow). She's just over 22lbs now.

My son is 15 weeks and Im guessing he is 11-12 lbs. He was born at 6lbs 1oz. If your baby was that big when he was born then you are probably on schedule!
