I mean they fall down like someone hit them with a crow bar. Yea they have great endurance, but getting taken off on a stretcher after being bumped into is hideous!!!

I wouldn't consider soccer players wimps it is just that if they make a collision look bad then the other team will be penalized, also every sport has injuries but in soccer your legs get hurt a lot so you can't walk off the field.

that isn't why they fall down.

It is called tactic (yes it could also be called cheating, but nonetheless tactic, whether it's good or bad). Sometimes they will fake injury. It could be to get a free kick or a penalty kick. It could be to get some additional stoppage time.

Or, they could actually be hurt, because ya know, it actually does happen. I would imagine at times it is more painful than what we think.

Edit: To add to what snowboard said, you should take a look at Kieron Dyer's nasty injury from a tackle by Sol Cambell. Here is a link...

And I don't know if you ever heard anything about it, but not long ago, Owen Hargreaves broke his leg in a match. I think it was from a tackle (?). Not to mention the numerous foot/ankle and knee injuries that are sustained. Michael Owen tore his cruciate ligament in the WC. That put him out for supposedly this whole season. And there are lots more.

by asking this question it tells me you know nothing about soccer players or the game of soccer already..soccer players ACTUALLY are not wimps. You try running at full speed then have someone kick your leg by accident and wipe out, especially on turf field..have you ever slid on that?..it rips your skin apart like crazy..i think you gotta better inform yourself before you ask such a disrespectful question

Its all these johnny foreigners to be fair.like Robben,Ronaldo(who's seemed to have stopped it)Pires are the main culprits.you wont find many English players doing it.maybe on the odd occasion.i remember Rooney diving in the box to earn a penalty.but that was against Arsenal so we'll let him off!!
