I would think that he's a concieted snob and that all he wants to do is win me with gifts and money. Men should be willing to work for a girl, and be able to show her that he cares for her by his actions. Not his wallet.

Big limits just means he's a very successful debtor. It means he can put his hands on a lot of money in a short span of time, but those 10 cards will shut him down right quick if he starts missing payments. A better question to ask is how much credit has been run up ON those 10 cards. He is simply trying to impress with a pretense of riches by announcing that he has 10 pieces of plastic, and deep debt is not something to boast about. B.

That he probably has a lot of debt. If he was well off you only need 2-3 credit cards. When they start having more than that they are usually using one card to pay of the other card and it will continue to cycle like that. And why do you need big limits. If you are wealthy enough you would pay them off at the end of the month to avoid the interest. That is how you save money.

I would be less than impressed. Credit cards are NO reflection on your financial status. I had 1 credit card and was in HUGE debt because I couldn't pay it off. Besides, I don't know about most girls, but I think a guy's personality is WAY more important than how much money he has.

(1) I would judge what his motivation is for telling you this. Most people who manage finances well do not make their information public.
(2) I would judge whether he pays his balance in full each month (0 interest), or pays interest on any debts. And if any of these balances is over 50% used up. That also indicates whether people are abusing credit cards or managing their money properly.
(3) Credit card offers come in the mail all the time. The companies are getting highly competitive, offering 0% interest to transfer from other accounts, and also they increase the balance to encourage spending. So that is very common.

I would think he was an idiot and not having anything to do with him.
Credit cards carry very high interest rates. Use them a lot and your rates are going to go through the roof. Use too many and you'll never pay them off. Credit cards are the worse way you can possibly conduct a financial transaction.
Anyone who brags about having a lot of credit cards is a LOSER.

I would think if he wasn't already, that in a year or so he would be drowning in debt. Any dummy can get a credit card. Managing and protecting your credit would impress me. What would impress me MORE is if a man says he had a nice sum of money in his savings, pension, 401K, IRA, etc. Anyone with a lot of cc would tell me that they are materialistic and can't manage money. Anyway, a man isn't rich with a bunch of cc only the person(s) he is in debt to.

The man really worthing finding is the one who pays cash...not debit cards (just another form of plastic swiping) but actual, cash money. One cannot accumulate debt by using cash to pay for everything. Once the cash is gone, no more spending. Simple enough. Ahh, but then a person has to make real choices at the moment on what to buy instead of swiping and paying later.
Credit cards are one of the two biggest scams pushed by the banking industry. The other one is interest-only mortgages.

I would think that he's got way too much debt. I would also wonder why he's telling me this. I would think that he was trying to impress me, but it would backfire and I would be worried that he's not financially responsible. The people I know who are very wealthy only carry a few credit cards and they pay them in full each month.

I would wonder why he would be so foolish. 10 credit cards means lots of payments and interest. A person only really needs one credit card. And wonder why he had the need to brag to you about this.

Credit cards don't make a person rich...they make a bank rich and the person carrying them in BIG DEBT.
I'd say he is pretty stupid for carrying 10 cards with big limits.
