If I go to the docter later today, for a sprained ankle, will he give me crutches for free? My mom has insurance.

Help pleaseeeeee.

I don't think doctors give crutches to patients for free. There may be some organizations in your area that furnish them for people who are in need. If your mom has insurance and you are covered and the doctor says you need them, then I would think the insurance company would pay for them.

No. There was a time when I offered people crutches at my cost - which is a lot less than yours - but insurance has made this impossible. Yes. Insurance generally pays for this - but you need a prescription from the physician to take to the pharmacy or medical supply store. There are likely a few general practitioners out there who may sell you crutches - and there are certainly orthopedists who do - but the latter tend to be expensive to see even with insurance.

Where I live, they lent me the crutches. If I didn't return them when I was done then I would have to pay for them.
