Great Expectations can definitely NOT be read totally in one day. The book is really complex and it's not written in very modern English. You probably want to go to sparknotes.com - that's what I had to do - because it was one of a few books I was asked to read this past summer, and by mid August I was only halfway through (and I had read fairly dilligently) because I had to keep stopping to clarify things. You definitely want to give yourself a good month to read the whole book if you want to understand what youre reading, or a day to go through it on sparknotes. They have the free complete version on SparkNotes.com.

Possibly, if you have no distractions. In a fit of preparing for my Masters' comprehensive finals, I read Bleak House in four days, and Middlemarch in either four or five days. It was madness, though...good luck with the project.

I think any book could be read all in one day if you are dedicated and don't have anything else to do.

I think so because I've done it. It helped that I had read it once before, but I was able to polish it off pretty easily.

I think it can be done, especially if you don't have any distractions. It helps, though, if you really like the book. Dickens's writing is not for everyone -- I think he's great! Good luck!

If you're in the right frame of mind, you might be able to. I don't think I'd want to try myself though.
