Sorry flcnchick, but Ath is right ... any odd number plus any even number equals an odd number ..
And 15 + 8 = 23 not 24 ...
A lil' proof ...
Any even number can be written : 2n, where n can be any entire number
Any odd number can be written : 2m + 1, where m can be any entire number
When you add them, you get :
2n + (2m + 1)
= 2*(n+m) + 1
= 2p + 1
where p = n + m ... And 2p + 1 is an odd number ...
And to answer the question, I'd say "red" :-)

No, you don't ALWAYS get an odd number when adding an odd and an even. To prove my point: adding 15 + 8 = 24, an even number.
It solely depends on the two numbers being added, because it could be red or blue.
