I do not think the tradition of the Haka should be banned!
I also think this has been blown out of all proportion!
But at the end of the day, they were in our house, would they let us do a traditional dance or whatever in their backyard before kick off? I think not! But, they have always done the haka before it! so why change the protocol?
What annoys me more than anything, there was game, and at the end of the day, the WRU need to look at what went wrong in that, rather than try and get the IRB to have the Haka done between the anthems!
After last weeks article in the NZ Herald, we are now probably known as a petty minded nation as well as village idiots!

I don't know about anyone else but there is no way i'd turn my back on them. How disresepectful can you get?!
The Haka is a tradition to the Kiwi Nation, a War Dance, A warning...I honestly can't believe that people are actually calling for it to be scrapped, it's disgraceful.
It may seem like a waste of time to you but singing our God Awful national anthem is also a waste of time if we look at it from your point of view. The Haka is far more relevant to a rugby game than a flaming national anthem!!
Have some respect!!!

The Haka Dance is traditional to the New Zealand team. it shows that they have accepted the Maori culture into their own and shouldn't be something that is banned. If you ban the Haka dance, you may as well ban every nation from singing their national anthem. Besides, the Haka is all part of the game, its entertaining. They even do it in the code I prefer to watch, that being Rugby League, if you ban it in one code, you have to ban it in the other, and I don't think the New Zealanders or the crowd on both sides would like that.

OMG. It's a game. A GAME people! I could not believe it when they had to do the haka in their changing room this weekend, rather than on the pitch. Some people take things far to seriously. Personally I love it. It's all part of the build up and does no harm to anyone.
And just out of interest, how come NZ had to do theirs in the changing rooms when the Islanders got to do theirs on the pitch in front of Ireland on Sunday?

Why does everyone think it has to be done by a maori? it doesn't! Tana lead it when he was captain, while they had piri and gear on the field. And the Welsh RFU didnt ban it, they just wanted to have it inbetween the anthems, and the all blacks disagreed so they performed it in the changing rooms

England sing as do the welsh and the Scots and the Irish do you want them to stop that too?

I think the haka should be performed, but all the other teams should make up their own thing!!!! or the haka should replace the national anthem!!!

I think it is great spectacle!
Its a pity that there are only a few members of the team who are really qualified or entitled to perform it - i.e.Maori.
The All Black team is diluted by Fijian, and Samoan.
The rest are made up by European descendants.
Perhaps they ought to perform some sort of Scottish sword dance at half-time - with a bit of luck they would cut their feet to ribbons and it would give the other team that they are playing a chance in the second half!
