Make as many CD copies as you can and post them out to as many radio stations that you can find.

Good luck!!

I have noticed that radio stations are especially fond of playing songs which are either about the radio medium or have the word "radio" in the title, for example "Radio, Radio" by Elvis Costello, "Radio Song" by R.E.M and "Video Killed the Radio Star" by Buggles. Saying this, I've never heard any of them play "I Bet You They Won't Play This Song on the Radio" by the Monty Python team.

The best thing you can do is record the song to reasonable quality and then speak to your local radio station. Most local radio stations support local artists. Depending on what genre your song fits into (Folk, Rock etc.) you could target a show that plays that kind of music. I've had tracks from my album played regularly on local radio for the last year. Good luck, it's good to hear someone young is creative enough to want to make their own music, and ambitious enough to get it on the radio.
