NY Point Guards would make great "And 1" players but for whatever reason they struggle with the structure required to play the NBA game...that to say I agree these guys are talented but yes are overrated when you put them in the scheme of the NBA...they run neck and neck with the idea the University of Arizona is considered "Point Guard U"...even though they feature

Damon Stoudamire
Mike Bibby
Gilbert Arenas
Jason Terry

These guys are good scorers but are not good play-making point guards...(check your stats you wont find any of these guys in the top ten in assists year in and year out)

Stephon is a legit monster, but he doesn't always get a fair shake at times. When he took Phoenix to the playoffs, they traded him the season after.

Sebastian Telfair needs more time before he can be judged.

Kenny Anderson is probably the best within the group, but very few people remember him, but him and derrick coleman were monsters for the Nets.

Erick Barkley was the most disappointing, because he had so much potential, but sense he had to leave school early, his career suffered from it.

Felipe Lopez could dunk and that is about it.

All in all, NY basketball is overhyped, but there have been good players to come from there. Chris Mullin (I think) and Mark Jackson (I think)

everything about new york basketball is overrated just because they can play in the schoolyard or parks doesn't mean they'll be great players in the nba
