Because they are, they can, and they do. Its what sells, especially to younger kids, giving them a false sense of security in "gangsta rap," & such, as the glamorous lifestyle that they think is so easy to achieve. I can't tell you the number of kids I have heard say they don't need education or career training because, "I'm gonna be a rapper..." I teach, but this has mostly come from hearing kids at my sons' high school, or when kids are in the office. I asked a boy in class one day how he was going to count his money. How would he know if the person handling his finances when he gets rich wasn't cheating him if he can't add, subtract, multiply and divide all that money, since he was gonna be a rapper and didn't need to do his math? He sat there stunned & then got caught up on his math. Its sad!

Obviously listeners are interested that why the majority of rappers are multi-millionaires and have platinum selling albums. If you were to listen to a rap album you'd see that they talk about much more that money and girls. That's just like saying why do Boybands sing about being in love with a girl. or why do Female artists sing about some guy cheating on them??

low self esteem.

OK OK, let's analyze this (for real):

Rappers claims :-

(1) Money - Rapper are only the lap dogs of Jewish and White record label executives. It's how much they are ALLOWED to have to be seen as affluent to sell records to other retards. Just another cotton plantation, fools.

(2) Women - I could have had Snoop Dogg's wife for $30 at one time. Anyway i wanted her! Any woman that a rapper could get could have been gotten by the man on the street for a lot cheaper and two lines of cocaine. Try getting a real woman Gay-Z.

Poor silly rappers. (sigh)

A deep, niggling sense of insecurity that reflects their intellectual and emotional age: stuck forever in puberty. There's a lot of people out there like that, not just rappers. The same drive that makes middle aged men buy a penis car and sleep with inflatable blondes.

Maybe that is who is also interested in the music. A kind of soundtrack for their vaguely unsatisfying lives.

Maybe because they can't think of anything else to rap about. Narrowminded people love money and sad people love to show off about how many girls they can get. Listeners are people who want to be like that. I would never listen to rap ever it's dreadful!

If rappers made music about gardening, decorating or going to see their Grans on a Sunday, then no-one would buy it.

As it is no decent rap records have been made since "Rappers Delight"by The Sugarhill Gang- circa 1979

I know. Rap and hip-hop are nothing but sick worlds where men where fifty pounds of jewelry and the women are w****s.

Rappers are not unique. In my opinion, they all look and sound the same:horrible.

No, I don't want to hear your pathetic excuse for a song, take the virtual tour of your mega-mansion, or ooh-and-ahh at your money and women.

Because their wealth and sexual prowess are the only things that define their pathetic lives. Other than that, their lives would be empty, meaningless and boring. They'd be dealing drugs on the street corner, or flipping burgers at a fast food joint.

It's what's important to them and they think it should be important to us as well, I guess. I don't give a rip for rap so i think it is totally Ludicrous. Get it? haha. Not a very good representation of their music either. Gives rap a bad rap. Oh man, am I funny today or what?

Because they're rich and can get a lot of girls... but no one's interested (except maybe us since we're talking about it).
