moved from fla.. to a cold environment...after about 5 minutes goin down the road i smell fuel within the cab (89 F150), only smell when its real cold outside...any ideas??

i own a repair shop,and its possible you may have a small exhaust leak coming in the truck some where,that would explain the smell your getting on it,other wise it may just be running to rich on fuel and this can be caused by a bad 0-2 sensor on it,,you might want to have it checked out to see if it does have any sensors bad on it,,auto zone can scan it free for you ,and can tell you if anything needs replaced on it,,good luck,i hope this help,s.

have your choke circuit checked out , you dont have an exhaust leak do you?, what should we kiss ? if that is your attitude about my country , go home!
