IM her...If she answers then you know she is on line. Only do it once per day though. You don't want to over do it unless you do it as a joke and if she has a sense of humor.
Course there are programs that will allow you to check for invisible people but...that really is an invasion of privacy.

its actually quite easy (if you have yahoo messenger) just go in to yahoo on the home page and just like when you look to see if you have mail and it shows you right there you can also see whose all online by putting the mouse over messenger and it should show you all who's online in you friend list just make sure your signed in
