Hiya,
I always put a clear varnish on underneath the colour, then when they colour has dried go over again with the clear making sure I go underneath the nail as well so it locks in the colour.

Nail polish tends to chip if the nails are dry. To reduce dryness, before applying nail polish, massage your nails with a good cuticle oil for 5 min, wash with a mild soap and wipe the nails with polish remover to get rid of any oily residue on nail surface. Then start with a base coat, and finish off with a top coat. This should make the polish last longer.

Hi,the secret is tooput a base coat on,then apply a thin coat of your chosen color, put one coat of top coat on ,dry, apply another top coat.Expensive brands do work if applyed correctly.Try boots no7 speed dry nail varnish£6.00-£7.00. if you have a boots card you'll earn 4 points for every £1.00.Sometimes there are offers on like spend £10.and recieve a £5.voucher for no7/ruby&millie.hope this helps.

Try the Revlon ColorStay nail polish. It comes with a color and a top coat, you do two coats of the color and one of the top coat. It's my favorite brand cause it lasts for atleast a week, and my old polish used to chip the same day I painted them.

Thoroughly wash and dry the nails before starting. Wipe each nail with a cotton ball with Isopropyl alcohol. Put on one coat of Orly "Bonder" base coat. Two coats of your favorite color. Then one coat of Seche Vite quick dry top coat. That should help make your manicure last.

I particularly have tried the Sally Hansens optimal growth Nail Polish and it works without chipping. the only factor is that it applies on clean. yet perhaps in case you positioned on it under and over the wanted shade nail polish it may final slightly longer than others. wish this facilitates.

When applying your nailvarnish you should always do it in very thin coats allowing it to dry fully each time before applying the next coat. When it is applied thickly, even if it only takes one coat to cover it well, it is guaranteed to chip.
