stick with close friends and family is the best advice. save your pocket money or be an angel long enough for your folks to start giving you some. Volunteer to do odd jobs here and there, walking the dog, washing cars, or even a paper route with your local newsagents. Above all be safe and don't accept the offers from strange people eager to help. They're probably only eager to help themselves.

Just be very carefull that no one takes advantage of you, when I was 13 I had a paper round, and I worked my week ends on a farm, good times, good fun, good luck.

Raid your relatives' attics and garages for junk (you will be amazed what sells) then persuade an adult to take you to a car boot sale and flog what you can, give them a bit for petrol money and bank the profit!
