You need persistence and luck, lots of both! I got sent a modem after specifically saying I didn't want it. It arrived two days before I went on holiday and the letter said I had to return it within 7 days or pay the £30.

I tried the 'Help' and 'Support' lines but merely discovered where we as a nation keep the people too stupid to be let loose in the real world and gave up. In the end I took it into a CarPhone Warehouse and refused to either leave or let them deal with any other customers until they took it back on TalkTalk's behalf.

They were initially reluctant but gave in, accepting the fact that TalkTalk is generally regarded as a catastrophic failure by most of it's customers.

Good luck

First wrap it up in a very rough paper , do not use string, barbed-wire is better, grease it up, then
tell talktalk to bend over and with a sudden whoosh ...

they deserve it, as I gather you have found out !
