I saw a few Senators on Meet the Press yesterday and that statement was spoken by one of them. What is your opinion?

Since the Washington Senators are no longer http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Washington_Senators I can only assume you were referring to the Ottawa Senators and I believe their officials certainly are honest and hard-working and call the games as fairly as possible. They're playing quite well this season and I believe it's simply due to skill... and big sticks.

I know you weren't talking politics...

Not the ones recently elected during the last round. Not honest. Hardworking? Only to maintain the stream of lies plied upon their constituents to win the election.

i think in general they are.the problem with the elected officials today is that once they are elected they all forget that we elect them therefore we hire them to do a job and they work for us not the other way around.if we can ever get them to accept this concept we would all be a lot better off.

generally speaking, yes. Our government allows certain actions though that create the temptations that create integrity issues such as lobbyists and laws that get passed that generally serve no other purpose than to make rich people and corporations more rich.

I don't know when you last read a bill. Or proposed a bill. Or looked at funding new projects. Or tried unfunding projects.

Reading a bill alone can take the better part of a day.

Well, of course the senators would think that. However, other people might disagree.

I think the Republicans are for the most part.

My Democrat Governor is the most corrupt Gov. this state has had in my lifetime and I would not be surprised if he does not finish out his term. (WI)

I believe they start out that way...then get seduced by lobbyists and the love of power of it all.
