Man...I know so many that I'd swamp your board here. However, alittle something that you can toss around at your next cocktail party. As you may or may not know, Leslie Howard was a British actor who played Ashley Wilkes in "Gone With The Wind" as well as the lead role in the movie "Intermezzo". Despite being typecast as the milquetoast in almost every movie he did he still did the touring circut for the soldiers overseas during WWII.
His last trip ended tragically when while boarding a plane in England he was observed by a Nazi spy who mistook Howard for Winston Churchill. Of course I'm not quite sure if Leslie had balloned up in weight or the spy had pretty damn lousy eyesight but in any event the information that Churchill was on this flight that Howard was boarding was radioed to the spy's handlers.
While flying somewhere over the English Channel the plane was attacked by a couple of German fighters and shot down with no survivors.

Hence the sad ending of Leslie Howard.

i will save you the long drawn out explanation but you need to research the Third Battle of Ypres during World War I. It involves the largest non-nuclear explosion in history. When my professor at Marquette explained this story, we were rolling in the aisles laughing. It involves general plumber, a bunch of germans on a hill, 21 tunnels, and over a million pounds of TNT. Trust me, you will get a hell of a bang out this story.
