NBA Live, NBA 2K, even NCAA Hoops or NBA Street? will the wii have ANY basketball games?

well, thanks for all that so far, but I also wonder if they will have any big Titles (Live 07, 2K7 etc,) I mean they will get Madden 07 and I did look at wii.com and I saw somewhere they did have NBA Live 07, but I saw on the wii page that it wouldnt.

That depends on the interests of the third-party developers. Midway is supporting the Wii with other non-sports games, since NBA Ballers was never in the GameCube. EA said somewhere that the will have more support to the Wii since the Super NES, so it may be possible for NBA Live to appear and other EA Sports games that have not appeared for the GameCube. I doubt 2K Games will support the Wii, because they did not have full support of the GameCube. Just keep your eyes and ears open and check on IGN often.

Yes of course ! A team can score a field goal by shooting the ball through the basket during regular play. A field goal scores two points for the shooting team if a player is touching or closer to the basket than the three-point line, and three points if the player is behind the three-point line. The team with the most points at the end of the game wins, but additional time may be issued when the game ends with a draw. The ball can be advanced on the court by bouncing it while walking or running or throwing it to a team mate. It is a violation to move without dribbling the ball, to carry it, or to hold the ball with both hands then resume dribbling.
