swtich to gmail, they get alot less spam then yahoo does.

Never respond to a spam ad, never put your e-mail out where people can collect it. There is nothing you can do about the spam you're already receiving this way, only stop it from increasing. So yeah, just switch to gmail.

As mentioned above, norton anti-virus has zilch to do with your internet mail service, nor does any anti-virus program relate to e-mail, they are two seperate problems.

Norton doesn't scan web-based email for one, and for 2 Norton sucks anyways.
As far as what to do about the spam, you can open a few of them and they are supposed to have an unsubscribe link (some of them are pretty hard to find but they are there)....some will be coming from the same source so you can setup a filter to send those to the trash bin, or spam folder......and also setup a disposable email address and use it to fill out forms and stuff, that way when you start getting too much spam mail sent to that account you can just delete it and then anybody sending to that address will get a bounce-back message and they'll give up.

The spam may be spread through many ways…! Sometimes spam may be due to viruses or spyware. Many hours are wasted due to spam email. However, by taking simple precautions while giving out your email and installing updated free software, you can prevent spam. More info available at

Norton Antivirus is an antivirus program you need to turn on your spam guard or purchase antispam software. Besides Norton Antivirus isn't very good anyways when it comes to Antivirus programs I would suggest E-trust antivirus.

Nothing really, spam isnt concerned with what kind of virus protection it is, its what websites u put your email address in, everytime you type in ur email address to a website they often start sending you junk mail. My suggestion would be make a new email and DONT give it out to any websites except friends. Any mroe Q's email me at doctorslapnut@yahoo.com

Go to your mail options and select spam protection. There is a option to select your setting, I selected -Imediately delete these messages upon receipt. (Note: If you choose this option, you will not be able to review the messages before they are deleted- Spam mail is imediately deleted without even going to my inbox. I still get about 5 a day though. It beats 100.

I use to get tons of spam myself but it went to my bulk folder, so, I changed my settings on my bulk folder to delete immediately. Now I get a few spam
advertisements in my inbox but I just report those.
Hope this helps.
