I was a DJ at a small AM station about 30 years ago. It was easy, all you had to do was walk in and do a little demo for them. It's not that easy today. Most stations require some kind of communications degree, which is just another example of how our nation is being over-educated.

Apply. Find out what openenings there are and apply for them. Be sure to talk to an HR rep. Maybe you could intern. One things for sure, you will not start at the top. And by the way, it'll help to be enrolled in journalism classes, even if you do start out as the custodian.
