Find a time when she is quiet and still. When you removed the studs, what happened was there was probably some skin that had grown around the stem of the earring. So, when you removed them it pulled that skin off and made it bleed. Just attempt to put the new ones in, or even reinsert the peircer studs. Do it gently, don't try to force it in. From my experience with my own ears, the backs of the earring hole will close over first. If they won't go back in, don't panic. You might have to take her back to have them redone. But I would wait a while and let her ears heal a little first, so that you don't increase the risk of infection. Hope this helps. (I think it's the parents decision if they want to get their baby's ears peirced.....I don't have that problem though.....I have 2 small boys LOL) Good luck!!!!!

Ok, I had my daughter's ear pierced very young, (try 6 weeks), just to avoid this. See around that age the ears are more vascular (more veins and prone to bleed). Also you might have done more hurt than help, in an effort to keep her ears clean, you might have over did it just a little and didn't give her ears the proper chance to heal in a dry environment. Or, take a close look at the post of the earrings, is one thicker than the other? Generally earring posts come in 18 and 16 gauge. Also how were her ears pierced, with a gun? Lastly did u twist the posts while cleaning them? If all is well in these respects I say try a lil later tonight to put them back in. Just give her a lil infant motrin. Or she could just be allergic to nickel. You can tell by lookin to see if the posts are made of ANYTHING but surgical grade steel or yellow gold (not vermiel). If they're nickel, do not put them back in, just let her ears heal and close,(wait at least 3 months) then get them re-pierced with gold or SGS. I hope I helped!

Well,I'd advise you put an ice cube to the holes for three minutes before putting the new studs in. The ice should keep the bleeding to a minimum, and that they were bleeding means her skin grew onto the metal. Just remember to rotate the new earrings three times a day, and take them out to clean them once a week. Her ears could easily get infected right now, and you don't want that, believe me. Good luck.

First let me tell you that my first job ever was piercing ears, and I did that for three years.
The problem you have come across is very common. I wish you had told us what type of metal both pairs of earrings were. Some people can not handle any metal but gold or platinum. If you had silver earrings, please go out and buy a pair of solid gold earrings and try those. If that still doesn't help, her ears are probably infected badly. I don't think it's worth trying to keep the earrings in and have her bleed. Take them out and let them heal.
This is really why I suggest to everyone I talk to, to not pierce their children's ears at such a young age (for MANY MANY reasons). This whole thing can be very traumatic to children.
If you are still confused about what to do, please contact your doctor.

I don't see why not. I got my first set when i was five and my second at 10 or 11 . its not that big of a deal. but remember just because you get your ears double pierced doesn't mean it makes you look older or more mature. Only get them if you honestly truly want them.

I had my daughters ears pierced at a very young age too, and the piercing place I took them to had this wonderful lotion for sensitive ears that worked great. Go to any piercing place in the mall and all of them have this lotion. Put the earrings back in and make sure they are hypo allergenic and don't remove them, give them a little more time to heal about another month. And don't listen to those who get angry at you for piercing your kids ears, millions of others pierce their kids ears too, there is nothing wrong with it.

First, I won't go into my feelings about what you did being wrong.
I got my ears pierced as an older child by my own choice. I had a lot of problems with them being infected/bleeding on and off for years. I ended up letting them close and never re pierced them. I didn't want to have the same problems.

you should get a pair of earings back in, make sure you clean them very well along with the ears, you need to get the ears to heal with the earings in otherwise it will be very hard to get the earings back in

I'll give you a constructive answer because you have already proven one of the reasons NOT to stab your daughter through the earlobe and leave her with marks she may decide she doesn't want on HER body later. (I'm half kidding)
It sounds like the skin around the whole wasn't totally healed. I would seriously call the doctor (trust me they have gotten stupidier calls....I once decided that my kid had leukemia because he was pale!) Not to be mean, but piercing is a puntcure wound and those are more likely to infect.
Does she cry about it? Call the doctor.

Poor baby. Let the holes grow up already! What possible benefit is it to her to have her ears pierced? Parents who pierce their baby's ear do it for selfish reasons---the baby doesn't enjoy it and doesn't care what she looks like. Sad.....
