I would if I could, but I can't. I had an unknown disease once and was told never to donate blood plus I am diabetic and the doc says I shouldn't for that reason as well. It is a great gesture to do so, though! Thank YOU!!!

No, but I should...my mom works at the Community Blood Center where we live (she donates all of the time) That is inspiring, I should think about stuff like that

I've donated, and I've also been turned down because of a low iron level, but I do try. I needed a transfusion when my first son was born, so I realize the importance too.

I want to donate, but I can't. I don't weigh enough to donate blood, which sucks, but I'm not about to gain 20 (or was it 10?) pounds just to be able to do that so...

No. I tried once, but the form with all the questions scared me off. I was scared I would find out I had the heebeegeebees from my donated blood being tested.

I haven't done it yet. You have to be over 18. I just turned 19.
There was a mobile clinic in a town near my place lately but I had college and a funeral to go to so I missed it.
I really want to do it.
I guess it's because you never know when someone you love will need blood and you may be able to help.
Also if anything happened to me I may be saving my own life !!

I would love to donate - no fear of needles - but can't because I am diabetic...
I admire those who chose to and do donate blood... wish I could.

I did once. It took all the bravery in my body. I'm frightened of needles because they usually have to take blood out of the back of my hand. My veins are too small.
