I am a journalism student and I am writing a story about the increase in Internet shopping after Thanksgiving. Today Nov. 27 is known as "Cyber Monday". If you are shopping online at work today I would appricate a comment that I could quote in my story. Like where you are shopping and what for. Please give me your full name if possible and where you are from.

I may be able to help you, but not from the angle that you are asking. I work for a company that manufactures a specific electronic item, and one of my daily tasks is to enter drop ship orders that come in for us from different web sites. Most days I have 10-30 orders and it takes up about an hour of my time. On Monday morning I received all of the 4 day weekend orders, which included Black Friday. I had over 400 orders! Needless to say it took me all day, with no breaks plus overtime. This morning I got all of the "Cyber Monday" orders...there were 15. So by my view people are doing their on-line shopping either on Black Friday or over the weekend after getting frustrated at the mall. I was not able to take advantage of any Cyber Monday sales, even though I did get a lot of sale emails with "secret codes" for pretty big discounts...I was too busy!
