The population will double, food will be scarce, babies will be sold for slaves and worse, the religions will ferment and then revolt into fighting factions and the pagans will butcher and eat the scared cows.

What do u mean by indian country? If its India, we can expect it to emerge as a superpower in Asian economy. Since it has a large & growing market, India is surely going to control a vast part of business in Asia. Space research & nuclear research may not prosper much, but IT & electronics industry will flourish. It may b a home for best hospitals in Asia also. In the military sector, terrorism may b a big challenge, but if India can maintain friendship with Pakistan, it's going to have an army high in morale.
