I have a hard time understanding this kind of thing...men not helping around the house. BEFORE my husband and I were married, I told him I wanted us to be EQUAL partners. That meant, we'd both work, we'd both do housework, and we'd both pay the bills and raise the kids TOGETHER. I didn't want him to HELP. I wanted him to SHARE the responsibilities. He agreed, so I married him. Yes, I do a bit more housework, but he does a bit more working outside the house, and we do share the childcare. You need to sit down and TALK to him. It goes like this: "I want us to start sharing more of the work. I am getting exhausted doing all the housework myself. If you don't want to do your 50%, then YOU need to hire me a cleaning service. It's your choice."

what ever you do DON'T put on a maid uniform, the idiot might get all turned on by it and that accomplishes NOTHING to you goal.
I know what you mean by men doing NOTHING, as I just posted my own questions about mine not helping or sharing nothing with me. I too feel like the house slave and getting nothing in return, not even appreciation.
I wish you luck in getting this bum off his a**, most likely you are in the same situation I am, he wont do nothing at all.
Message to the guys out there:
IF you say you love your wife, you will do ANYTHING short of murder to make sure she is happy- its not enough to just bring home a paycheck anymore, we want, need and deserve MORE. So get off your rears and make sure everyday, your wife knows she is appreciated and do not take her for granted, as we all know that what is taken for granted is SOON GONE!

each of you just write down what you do in a day around the house. Then you will see who does what. Or if you just do this on a note pad and he ses it will be a hint. Tell him about just picking up after himself. Wash dishes together before watching tv after diner.

i think every woman goes through this , what i do is try to do it myself , like making repairs in the home and when he sees i am not doing it right he shows me the right way to do it , so basicaly i stat the project and he finishes it, but to get him to do house work is another story ,he says he goes to work and the rest is mine
