check your fuses! Check your relays!

The obvious solution would be to check the fuses. The location can be found in your owners manual. There are sometimes more than on location for fuses in many cars.
If they are all OK, check the ground on your new system. You may have reversed the polarity and the power is "feeding back" through your speedometer circuit.
A test light would be helpful for this diagnosis. The are inexpensive and can be found at your local auto parts store.
