It is scary that people vote based on a 30 second TV ad and do not know all the facts.
I am also mad at the fact that illegals, dead people, and felons, vote. Of all those groups, the stupid seem less harmful - but not by much.

Here's a novel idea. Until we can get rid of the income tax, let's let people's number of votes equal the number of whole dollars they spend each year in income taxes.
Think about it. The rich will have a reason to NOT find tax shelters.
Since they are the ones who own businesses that employ the rest of us, why not let them have more votes than the under-educated employee who stops at a convenience store every day on the way home from work, gets a six-pack of beer, and watches sitcoms instead of news programs.
I know people are going to hate me for this, but that's nothing new. Before you condemn me, ask yourself if you've ever heard of someone getting a job from someone who is broke.

No. think about a president of one party and a vice-president of the competition. That does not be a tender or trusting partnership. contained in the starting up of the Republic the guy getting the most votes grew to develop into president and the runner-up grew to develop into vice-president. It made adequate complications that both places of paintings were joined for vote casting.

By far most people don't know or care who the vice is. Another majority doesn't know anything about the president as a person just what the press is allowed to expose. What causes most people to choose is party, much easier than following the news and digging through the dirt of politics.

Are you saying that stupid people should have no rights? If you are of age, you have the right to vote. Whomever a person decides to vote for and the reasons why are their own business. That is why its a secret ballot.
Just because you disagree with someone else's point of view, or believe them to be "stupid" does not mean their vote is any less important than yours.
Its not the stupid people who vote that bother me. Its the really stupid people who don't.

I agree. And I love the Jay Walking segment! I remember that I once saw a guy on there who thought that Mexico City was the capital of New Mexico! I also once saw a woman who thought that Condoleezza Rice's name was Mona Lisa Rice!LOL!

I agree.
Go around and ask the average 18 year old to name at least one person the the Presidents Cabinet. You would be suprised.
Also, ask that same person to tell you who Tom Cruise just married... They can spew facts for hours about that.
This scares the hell out of me.
Many youth get all of their "news" from Myspace and MTV.

No matter who the vice-president is, he must stand by his party's platform, so when people say "I vote for the man, not the party" they are actually voting for the party and defeating themselves.

The American public does give the impression that they lack basic intelligence, but that is insufficient grounds to deny them the right to vote, as frustrating as it is

If our country knowingly let illegal aliens vote with stolen identities why do you think we should restrict an American? Absolutely every American has a duty to vote regardless....
