A trick that is basically the same as having a hot curling iron for your lashes; before applying mascara use a metal eyelash curler then blast with hot air from a blowdryer for 30 seconds, then curl the lashes then apply mascara. Don't overdo it with heating the metal eyelash curler and don't get it too close to your eye.

I find a warm curler works best - get your eyelash curler and give it a blast with your hairdryer for 2 or 3 seconds. Then, start curling at the base of your lashes, hold for 5 seconds, then move up a little, hold for 5 seconds, and continue all the way until you reach the tips of the lashes - I also find it's better to do this after you have applied your mascara, although I'm sure some will disagree!! Good Luck!

As someone with super-straight long lashes, an eyelash perm usually works for me and lasts 12 weeks. But I have discovered a wonder product: Max Factor's Masterpiece mascara lifts my lashes without having to curl them first. It really makes your eyes stand out. Give it a try... about £8 or £9.

Usually you heat your curler under the blowdryer for 10 seconds and then curl your lashes so it stays (like how people straighten their hair). Then apply your favourite mascara (or Vaseline in my case, because it holds the lashes super well), and leave it on for a minute or two to let it dry. Finally, curl it one last time and the curls should hold for 6+ hours. **You can also bring a curler with you for touch ups during the day.

After using your eyelash curlers use a mascara that promotes curl in eyelashes, boots do a few good ones and at reasonable prices too. Dont ever put mascara on before using the curlers tho, you'll end up no lashes at all.

Mascara usually helps your lashes stay curled. Never use anything that shouldn't be used near your eyes to preserve the curl.

Hi there I always curl my eye lashes everyday, its good to train them to stay curled. Also I use a hair dryer to heat the eye lash curlers before hand, the heat tends to set them better. To finish I just use the smallest amount of hairspray just to make them stay curled. MIND YOU I'M NOT IN ANYWAY TELLING YOU TO USE HAIRSPRAY ON YOUR LASHES BUT IF YOU REALLY WANT CURLY LASHES ALL DAY THEN DO AS YOU PLEASE........Many thanks for reading my important information, Hayley-May

Try Christian Dior Magic Show mascara. It has a gel like consistency so your eyelashes are not brittle. Covergirl makes the best eyelash curler in my opinion. Change the rubber strip every few months, they make refills. Hold the curler for 3-5 seconds on each eye, before and after applying mascara. Good Luck!

Curl your eyelashes first, then use 'bad girl' mascara by benefit. That is probably the best mascara ever made, they're so good that they make your eyelashes look like false eyelashes!
