Rick Santorum apparently lacks the ability to hold down a single state, what could possibly lead you to believe he can win a national election?
Sam Brownback is a long shot, at best. George Allen? do you even read/watch the news?
McCain is the GOP front-runner, vs. Hillary or Obama.

I'm not sure any of the above could garner enough support nationwide to win. I think the one person that is a proven leader and holds moderate views and it tough on terror and crime is Rudi Giuliani. Since he is moderate, a conservative veep candidate like Romney or Gingrich would be necessary for him to win. Senators have not won a presidential race in over 45 years. Barack Obama talks a good game but votes as an ultra liberal in Congress and he can't carry the South which loathes the likes of him. He isn't very experienced in anything of note anyway. Hillary has too many negatives.

I'd bet on Hillary Clinton, as much as I hate to see that happen.
My personal choices would be (in order of preference):
1. Colin Powell
2. Ron Paul
3. H. Ross Perot
4. Nancy Pelosi
5. John McCain
6. Evan Bayh
7. Ralph Nader
8. Sam Brownback
9. Barack Obama
10. Kinky Freidman

Hard to say, of course.
Democrats tend to nominate who they like. Republicans tend to nominate who can win.
I think that the recent Democrat gains in Congress set the stage for the GOP nominating a moderate for President in 2008, and if that's the case, they'll likely win.

We had better make sure whoever is elected will not back down from the terrorists. They are going to do everything they can to sway the election in favor of a weak arms person as they anxiously await after the election to STRIKE(said by an Iranian refugee). Personally I like McCain so far and heard him endorsed by a knowledgeable fellow over the weekend.

Whoever the Democrats' candidate is.
Unless it's John Kerry.
Seriously. Bush has screwed the pooch so badly that the only way the Dems can lose is by nominating Kerry again.
