All I know for sure is that it's not America. Irony and sarcasm goes right over their little heads, bless 'em.

I think it depends on the sense of humour you have, I'm from the UK so I think our sense of humour is fantastic, we can laugh at ourselves, a rare commodity for a lot of people, I love the Irish, Canadian, Australian humour, even some of the American humour too, I just love that guy from Texas who was going to stand against George Bush in the mid term elections, no idea what his name was but he was hilarious and had me in stitches.

This question is difficult to answer as I think everyone has different ideals about humour.

I love Irony and sarcasm, but then I am British. Sarcasm is supposedly the lowest form of wit, that it may be, but it takes a sharp wit to think of it and understand it.

I suppose it depends a lot on your sense of humour which in turn has a lot to do with where you come from. I am from Germany, but am fortunate enough to speak English well enough to understand even Billy Connolly. I find people from the Ireland, England and Scotland the funniest so far. Probably need to compansate for the crappy weather...

the Irish because we can laugh at ours eves without getting annoyed. we love to take the piss out of the yanks {who still come to Ireland and ask is there any chance of seeing a leprechaun for real and will pay us big bucks to show them one}

we love laughing at he English because the think the are best at everything and they are not{ but i must admit their cricket,rugby and soccer are very funny at the minute}

you will never find any Irish person who does not have a funny one liner to lighten a conversation, to put down an adversary or just brighten someones day.

For humour the UK,for comedy the UK. Look at all the shows that come out of Britain, then are made into spinoffs by the Americans.

Do you mean the funniest people or the best comedy?
Best comedy: must be British.
Funniest people: You hit the nail on the head - has to be the USA. Simply because they don't understand British comedy.
