How many years have we been arguing about this? An NCAA football tournament would put to rest the controversy surrounding the crowning of a national champion. It would also be great action and great sports drama. As it is, it's pathetic sports bickering. Or am I missing something?

Yeah, I understand that the millions (billions?) of dollars keeps the bowl bonanza alive, backed by the schools and the sports media giants. But football is the only NCAA sport without a play-off tournament.

In a tournament, USC would earn a shot at OSU by playing through a legitimate play-off bracket.

My question is: what can be done to get one? What can we (the schlubs watching this mayhem) do to get one? Or do we remain the suckers who keep watching the money go by, while the championship controversy continues.

(Although, the OSU juggernaut is convincing. No, I am not a fan.)

The only way for fans to change things, would be to NOT go to the BCS games and or watch them on TV - which we know will NEVER happen.
But maybe if you feel strongly about this, you can start some kind of online petition or boycott of sponsors products.

because the NCAA sucks a huge one. i have prayed for years that they could undertake one yet i imagine i will die earlier it ever rather occurs. it really is a shaggy dog tale, NCAA D-a million football is the absolutely major pastime, college or professional, that doesn't have their champion determined on the sector. This year is extra information then ever that you want a playoff. each and every of the talk about not having the ability to tug it off is bull too. D-2 has been doing a 16 crew playoff for years and it rather works proper for them. undeniable and straightforward NCAA D-a million sucks a huge one.

According to some there is not enough time to play a "round robin" style play off and with the money issurs it more than likely will not happen.

Yes, we can, but it won't change anything. I hate this BCS crap and would LOVE a playoff, but there's too much money involved for the NCAA to care about the clamor of those of us who are considered "uninformed".
