let a and b be your two integer
we have :
a+b = sum
a-b = diff.
=> a = (sum+diff)/2
b = (sum-diff)/2
in this case
a = 6 , b = 3

let the integers be x and y
x+y=sum of number you give
x-y=difference of number you give
so, you gave the answer as 9 and 3
x+y=9
x-y=3

2x=12
x=6
y=3
so the number is 63

Let m, n be these two integers.

Then

m + n = 9 & (m-n = 3 or n- m = 3).
