Any time a psychic gives you 'warning' or any reason that you must return for additional readings, you are clearly being scammed.

ok, well first of all im some what psychic myself, so i dont know how much u will value my answer.. but here it is

* If they ask alot of questions, then they are fake
* If they offer to do spells, just steer clear
* If they want to change the earth for a short time, dont bother - its money they want, not knowing u have some peace of mind or they have helped in some way.
* If they seem overly pushy and has to much of a hippy look then i doubt they have what it takes

and if ur after advice.... I suggest

* Never say to much, let them do all the talking, you'll get ur moneys worth that way.
* Be honest with ur answers, dont let them worm around your comments and help u to change ur mind,... if what they are saying is fact, it will come to u instantly...yet, Always keep an open mind too,... somethings dont always make sense to them or you,... so make sure u do think about what it is they are saying rather then labeling them as fake. Because if they are true well they will see more then beyond your needs and desires :)

If somebody says she/he is a spiritual counselor. I stay away because they often act like a counselor and not psychic. If somebody says she/he is a relationship specialist, I stay away because some fake ones only do that since it's the easiest to fake. Also stay away from somebody who combine astrology and psychic ability, and also from somebody who claims to have been on TV or radio. I have personally had very good experience with Tarot card readers. In my opinion, good psychic can give you unbiased and fast readings using Tarot cards. Look for somebody who will answer your questions in shortest way possible. Phrase your questions so that she/he can answer with yes or no.

OK here is one way. Buy a small box of Tic Tac, eat some on the way to the psychic, and ask the psychic to tell you how many are left in the container. Alas, all of them tend to disregard this question and find a way out of it! Otherwise, you can ask of something (like a number, or an uncommon name -or even your grand mother's maiden name) that is unlikely to be guessed upon. Good luck.

The fact that these people are trying to tell you how to live. If they were truely phychic then they would seek you out and try to help you. You should do a survey and see how many times phychics actually helped anyone. It's what's in your mind and heart that will show you what you need to see. Nothing more or less. No one can tell the future. Sorry, if they could they would be soooo rich right now. Thank you.

Go only to people who have been recomended by people you know.
A true psychic will never promise anything.
A true psychic will direct you but never make a decision for you
When you have made your own decision about what you want , A psychic will show you how to get it

In all seriousness, psychics are frauds. They have been debunked many, many times. No one has ever been proved to have psychic powers. See: www.randi.org for proof.

Based on what you don't want to hear (reality), you may as well assume that all "psychics" are legitimate and open your wallet to the first one that tells you what you want to hear. Of course, at your level of gullability and your apparent need to be taken advantage of, that was probably the plan all along.

When the information sounds fake, it's usually fake.
