With the chase Earnhardt or Petty would not have their championships.But the again this would be a good to research during the off season.

oh no. i dont think it would matter how the point system was changed. they are way too many talented drivers for just one driver to dominate the circuit. plus you would have to factor in Jr., Kevin Harvick would have come up later and the younger guys like jimmie johnson. i think there is just too much talent for any one person to be that dominant.
