Friend blows me off when he supposed to have did me a favor and his car breaks down about 2 hours out of town. He calls me to pick him up eventhough he doesn't do what I asked him to do and he wasn't even going to call me, I was at home waiting... Would you go get him or let him rely on lhis own devices?

Depends. Is this someone you want as a friend?

A friend is a friend. I would go pick him up IF I had the time however, he'd get an earful about the favor on the way back. I'd also think twice about what kind of friend this person really is, obviously he's not reliable etc etc.

Just because he was not a friend to you does not meen you are not going to be a friend to him, help him and show him what friendship really means to you, if you help him he will surely feel bad for not doing you that favor and probably apologize to you and explain why he did´nt help you. Remember that one must help others without expecting anything in return specially if you consider them your friends, remember also that you might consider him your best friend but that does not mean that he considers you his best friends, that´s the beauty of human kind.

I'd ask him about the favor. Did he forget? Was it something that he didn't feel comfortable doing for you? If he is really a friend you two should be able to talk about it.

I would tell him/her that i was busy doing the favor he was supposed to do for me. I wouldn't tell him/her that i would do it and not show up that way he'll know to find someone else for the ride.

If he really is a good friend you would'nt even question yourself about helping him or not!
