Not all the hate on this site, but those things that irritate and niggle.
Like people who gather on the pavement next to the pedestrian crossing. You don't know if they're waiting to cross the road or just having a chat.

People who don’t acknowledge you when you actually stop to let them cross the road.

People who nearly run into you or cut you up, because they’ve got their mobile (cell) phone stuck to their ear whilst driving (even though it‘s illegal in the UK).

People who don’t acknowledge you when you wait for them to pass in a narrow part of the road.

I’m with Penny about the ‘Baby on Board’ signs - what are other drivers supposed to do?…err..not run into them…I try to avoid that anyway!

People working in shops who ignore you whilst 'serving' you at the till ...err.. excuse me, I am here.. I'm a customer...I'm helping to pay you wages!

I'm sure I'll think of more....

Okay...

#1 When someone's walking behind you as you enter a building, you hold the door open for them, right? And you expect them to 'take' the door from you, so that they're holding it open, and you can walk in. But sometimes, people will just walk past you as you're holding the door as if you're a doorman. I hate them.

#2 Anybody who says "I have the right to..." about some right that they don't have. I was on the train the other day and some woman was complaining to some teenager listenting to music on his phone. He said "I have the right to listen to my music on a public train", and she replied "I have the right not to be annoyed by your music." At which point I felt obliged to say "No you don't. Nobody has the right 'not to be annoyed'. Otherwise you could tell people to stop doing anything just because it annoys you."

#3 People who leave their trays full of rubbish on the table at McDonalds, KFC etc. I mean, seriously, how hard is it to pick your stuff up and empty it?

Uh-oh...you got me started...My pet hates are:

1) Men who leave the toilet seat up
2) People who hear me, but don't listen and then go do the exact opposite of what I've been saying. Then, to add insult to injury, they give me a blank look and say, "Gee, I didn't know you felt that way!"
3) Outside shoes being worn inside.
4) Someone drinking out of a cup and then putting it back in the cupboard without washing it.
5) People who don't bathe at least once a day. (That aren't homeless. The homeless have a valid excuse.)
6) Chain smokers who come into my house with ash on their clothes.
7) People who refuse to clean up their own messes.
8) People who don't wash their hands after doing something dirty, like using the bathroom.
9) People who bite their nails.
10) People who are not dyslexic who can't figure out proper spelling, grammar and syntax.

...Those are just the little, petty things that get under my skin. I've got more, but I think I'm 9 over my limit here.

Hi. What really irritates me is when I'm in the supermarket looking at stuff, say for instance salad type things. Then without warning someone pushes in front of you and grabs a lettuce and you nearly fall over with the force. This happens a lot in Sainsburys on the Isle of Wight. Mostly old people fighting to get back to the car park so they can open their car doors into your car and dent it. Actually I should have said that what really irritates me is the Isle of Wight. tis a dreadful place.

When it's pouring with rain and you are in a queue at the bus stop, when the bus comes along you get someone at the front fumbling to find their pass or fare in the dry on the bus while the rest of us are standing in the rain with our passes or money in our hand
Also at the supermarket checkout, the person in front waits until they have paid before filling their bags and trying to sort their shopping out at the same time

The toilet paper getting hung wrong. I feel it should come from the front....not the back. I am usually the one who has to do this so it is usually not a problem. But the 10 times a year when my hubby or kids hang it, they do it backwards. And they know it irritates me so they do it on pourpose because they think it is funny. So I end up doing it anyways............

People that are just plain rude-shoving you aside rather than say 'Excuse me',cursing loudly in public (I don't wish my daughter to hear that!),say nothing when you hold the door open for them or get them a trolley as you're getting yours-it doesn't take much to say thanks!
Bigoted, closed minded people, people who just chuck their rubbish in the street when there are bins everywhere.
Drivers that don't indicate when they are turning-therefore nearly running you down-then having a go at you! GRRRRRRRRR!!!!!

My 2 pet hates are: people dropping litter - that just makes me so mad, its bad enough in the town or city, but especially when they do it out in the country... I like to go hill walking, and there is nothing that annoys me more than out in the most beautiful wilderness and finding someones beer cans or crisp packets lying around.

The other one is filling out application forms... when they want to know stuff from years ago that you can't remember... I get so stressed out filling out forms, job applications are bad, but if you have to apply for benefits, or fill out a tax return... aaarrrgghhh!!!!

Mine is similar to yours. But I have so many of them.
1. pressing the crosswalk light to stop traffic when there is only one or two cars.
2. stopping in a hall/walkway/doorway to have a conversation.
3. slow drivers...
